Expanded managed services partnership provides 24/7 MDR powered by Falcon’s AI-native technology and elite cyber expertise to stop advanced threats
CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) and Australia’s Academic and Research Network (AARNet) today announced an expanded partnership to deliver CrowdStrike Falcon® Complete Next-Gen MDR to Australia’s research and education sector through a new managed service. This service will provide institutions with industry-leading, 24/7 managed detection and response to defend against advanced cyber threats powered by CrowdStrike’s Falcon Complete for Service Providers offering and delivered by AARNet.
The speed and sophistication of cyberattacks continues to grow, while the cybersecurity skills gap widens. Australia’s research and education sector is a prime target for adversaries with the valuable proprietary data and intellectual property they hold – often combined with underresourced internal security programs. Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR, powered by CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon® platform and elite cyber expertise, paired with AARNet’s deep experience providing technology services to the research and education sector, provides institutions with the technology, expertise and sector-specific services they need to stay ahead of advanced threats. Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR will be available to AARNet customers through a standalone service or as an addition to a customer’s existing AARNet Security Operations Center (SOC) managed services.
“Expanding our partnership with CrowdStrike, cybersecurity’s industry leader, simply makes sense given Australia’s research and education sector is constantly targeted by sophisticated cyber threat actors,” said Charles Sterner, CISO, AARNet. “Our customers need to be able to protect their vital assets with best-in-class cybersecurity capabilities and expertise. We’re excited to work with CrowdStrike to provide an MDR solution that ensures customers can comprehensively manage, detect and respond to threats.”
“Falcon Complete Next-Gen MDR sets the standard for MDR while accelerating SOC transformation initiatives in collaboration with innovative services partners like AARNet,” said Jon Fox, vice president, channels and alliances, CrowdStrike Asia Pacific and Japan. “Together, we’re a true force multiplier for Australia’s education and research cybersecurity teams, delivering the advanced technology, expertise, and sector-specific experience they need to combat modern threats. We’re excited to expand our partnership with AARNet, securing the mission-critical institutions powering Australia’s next generation of innovation and growth.”
