Deliberation Meeting on Global Forest Environment Standards and Forest Environment Index was held at One Heung Kong, with China’s Solutions Elevated to Global Standards

By: Get News

On August 10, the Pre-launch Deliberation Meeting on the Forest Environment Standards and Forest Environment Index took place at One Heung Kong in Guangzhou. Former Finnish Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi and former Romanian Prime Minister Petre Roman attended the event, joining experts from international standard organizations, leading authorities in healthcare, and industry chain leaders to deliberate on the world’s first evaluation system that extensively integrates forest ecology with life and health.

In just two short months, One Heung Kong has repeatedly captured the spotlight of authoritative experts and international leaders, as they explore future lifestyles together. This series of events has demonstrated that cultivating “forests” in high-density cities is no longer a distant vision but has entered a mature stage where it is feasible and replicable. One Heung Kong has also officially established itself as a source for pioneering global innovations in future living.

The formulation of standards holds pivotal guiding value for the cause of ecological health. It consolidates practical experiences scattered across the globe into a shared consensus and enables innovative technologies developed in laboratories to be genuinely transformed into tangible well-being benefits for the general public. During the event, former Romanian Prime Minister Petre Roman underscored the significance of China’s practices and innovations in shaping a global consensus. He pointed out that the One Heung Kong project, through its model of “technological breakthroughs + ecological safeguards + standards leadership”, offers quantifiable and replicable practical standards for global ecological health, carrying profound implications.

Former Finnish Prime Minister Mari Kiviniemi stated that China and Finland are deepening their cooperation in areas such as low-carbon development, circular economy, climate and biodiversity, sustainable forestry, as well as health and well-being. Both sides are committed to advancing the circular economy and protecting ecosystems, which opens up possibilities for sharing standards, enhancing compatibility, and promoting solutions on a global scale.

Liu Jiaqi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, pointed out that the development of forest environment standards and index is of utmost urgency. These are not only technical guidelines for regulating the development of the ecological health industry but also crucial means for guiding the rational allocation of social resources and promoting global sustainable development. Wang Guiqiang, Head of the Expert Group on Medical Emergency Response of the National Health Commission, stated that from a medical perspective, the establishment of forest environment standards and index represents the best practical application of the concept of “preventive treatment of disease”.

The exploration at One Heung Kong has consistently progressed along two parallel paths: one is a return to nature, while the other involves reconstructing forest ecosystems within the urban fabric. The independently developed “Eco-Health Living Technology Matrix” by One Heung Kong provides solid support for the realization of forest environment standards. Its globally leading “8 Constant + Forest Environment System” achieves long-term stable control over key indoor environmental indicators such as temperature, humidity, PM 2.5, and formaldehyde while simulating forest air composition to enhance residents’ immunity.

The “AI Dual-Cycle System” at One Heung Kong utilizes a network of sensors deployed throughout the residential area, combined with AI algorithms, to dynamically optimize in real-time the material and energy exchange between the outdoor forest ecosystem and the indoor microenvironment, effectively addressing the core challenge of achieving “breathing freedom” in high-density urban settings.

One Heung Kong has become a pivotal window for international leaders to gain insights into China’s innovation. Since June this year, several former international dignitaries have visited or directed their attention to this place, sparking global interest. Shen Lei, Chairman of the Green Lifestyle Committee of the World Green Design Organization and Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, stated that forest environment standards and index serve as a “universal language” for promoting sustainable urban development worldwide.

At the event, a ceremony was also held to present the appointment letters for the Future Living Art Institute (FLAI), with Kiviniemi and Roman appointed as Honorary President and Co-President, respectively. FLAI will pioneer three global firsts, leveraging diverse forces to rise to the height of addressing global challenges. With its cutting-edge technology and ecological wisdom, One Heung Kong is transforming the Greater Bay Area from an economic and trade hub into a global cradle for forest environment standards.
