Luxe Cruises and Events, the family-owned yacht charter company behind San Francisco Bay's world-famous Wine Fleet, announced today that it will offer private yacht charters built around live FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcasts this summer. The packages, available from June 11 through July 19, turn match days into fully produced on-water events for corporate hosts, family offices, and private groups aboard any of the company's four yachts.
Each charter includes panoramic HD screens, surround sound, a dedicated event producer, and a food-and-beverage program designed by Luxe's in-house chef. The idea is simple: skip the crowded sports bar, skip the overpriced stadium suite, and watch the biggest tournament in the world from a private vessel with the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline as your backdrop.
Why the World Cup, and why now?
The 2026 tournament is the first to feature 48 teams and will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. That means more games, longer schedules, and a wider global audience than any previous World Cup. With the Bay Area's deep international ties and a corporate hospitality market that already spends heavily during major sporting events, Luxe sees an opening that few competitors can match.
"Most premium watch party options are just a roped-off section of a hotel ballroom," said a Luxe Cruises spokesperson. "We wanted to build something where the setting is half the experience. You're watching a semifinal with 40 of your closest clients, the chef is grilling on the aft deck, and the San Francisco skyline is behind the screen. That's a different kind of hospitality."
Four yachts, each named for a California wine
Luxe's Wine Fleet gives hosts a range of options depending on group size and style. The flagship Cabernet Sauvignon is a 124-foot, four-deck yacht with a full galley, a lounge, seated dining for 220 guests, a large dance floor, and an open-air sky deck with its own bar. For mid-sized groups, the 91-foot Pinot Noir seats 80 for dinner across two decks and can host up to 120 guests for a cocktail-style watch party. The 91-foot Merlot, recently remodeled, adds a partially open sky deck with panoramic sightlines. The 76-foot Fume Blanc, a replica of a New York State Hudson River steamboat, can hold up to 330 guests across three decks and is Luxe's largest-capacity vessel.
All vessels will be fitted with 4K LED displays visible from every angle, marine-grade audio systems, and real-time match commentary piped through the onboard PA. Luxe's operations team handles AV setup, permitting, docking logistics, and catering so the host's only job is to show up.
What a charter looks like
Luxe is running three tiers of World Cup packages. The base option covers a four-hour charter with broadcast setup, a premium bar, and passed appetizers. The mid-tier adds a seated dinner, branded decor, and a post-match cocktail hour. The top-end package is a full-day buyout of the vessel with a custom menu created by Luxe's in-house chef, a live DJ or musician, and a dedicated onboard concierge for every 15 guests.
Guests can move freely between indoor and outdoor viewing areas. The main salon seats groups theater-style in front of the primary screen, while the upper deck offers open-air viewing with a second display, lounge seating, and a bar. Luxe's event team can also configure breakout zones for halftime networking, cigar lounges, or family areas, depending on the group.
Built for business, not just soccer fans
Luxe is pitching the charters squarely at corporate buyers. Wealth management firms, law practices, tech companies, and real estate groups have already booked early packages, according to the company. The logic tracks: a World Cup match is a natural icebreaker, and a yacht is a controlled setting where a host can intentionally seat guests, manage the guest list, and avoid the chaos of a public venue.
"Our clients aren't just soccer fans. They're people who entertain for a living and need a setting that matches the caliber of their relationships," said the spokesperson. "A private yacht during the World Cup does that in a way a restaurant buyout never will."
The company is also offering co-hosted packages for smaller firms that want the yacht experience without chartering an entire vessel. Two or three non-competing companies can split a boat, each with its own branded section and guest list, while sharing the broadcast setup and catering. Luxe says this option has already drawn interest from boutique advisory firms and startup founders who want to entertain at this level but don't need 100 seats.
A bigger tournament meets a growing appetite for private events
The timing works in Luxe's favor. Private event spending in the U.S. has grown steadily since 2022, and demand for non-traditional venues, including yachts, rooftops, and estate properties, has outpaced traditional banquet hall bookings over the past three years. The World Cup adds a built-in reason to gather, a fixed schedule to plan around, and a global audience that keeps the conversation going long after the final whistle.
Luxe operates four vessels out of its home port in Alameda, servicing nine ports throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco's Pier 40 (adjacent to Oracle Park), Oakland's Jack London Square, Sausalito, Berkeley, Redwood City, Angel Island, and Tiburon. The company has run private yacht charters for corporate clients, weddings, and milestone celebrations for more than two decades, and says the World Cup packages are its largest seasonal campaign to date.
"The World Cup only comes to the U.S. once in a generation," said the spokesperson. "We built these packages so that the people who host at the highest level have something worth hosting around. This is their tournament to own."
Booking and availability
World Cup charter packages are available now through Luxe's private events team. Group stage dates are filling first, with semifinal and final match slots expected to sell out by early June. Custom packages for multi-match series and tournament-long corporate programs are available on request.
Hosts can add branded merchandise, custom jerseys, and flag displays representing their guests' home countries. To book or request a consultation, visit luxecruises.com/contact or call 510-263-9790.
