SINGAPORE - June 16, 2026 - AI Account Pte. Ltd. announced on 12 June 2026 that it is providing support for Singapore small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in preparation for the phased implementation of the GST InvoiceNow requirement, which will be extended to all GST-registered businesses by April 1, 2031.

AI Account Positions Singapore SMEs ahead of Mandatory InvoiceNow Compliance
InvoiceNow is Singapore’s national e-invoicing framework built on the Peppol network. The system enables structured e-invoices to be transmitted directly between business applications, reducing reliance on manual processing and supporting standardized electronic document exchange between entities.
The GST InvoiceNow requirement will be introduced progressively across different business groups. The implementation timeline is set as follows: from 1 April 2028 for new compulsory GST registrants and businesses with annual supplies of S$200,000 or below; from 1 April 2029 for existing GST-registered businesses with annual supplies up to S$1 million; from 1 April 2030 for those with annual supplies up to S$4 million; and from 1 April 2031 for all remaining GST-registered businesses.
AI Account stated that its e-invoicing module is designed to operate within the InvoiceNow framework and supports the generation and submission of structured e-invoices. The system allows invoices to be transmitted through InvoiceNow and the Peppol network, with functions that include real-time invoice status tracking, duplicate submission checks, and the use of UEN data to populate customer records.
The platform also includes capabilities to convert incoming supplier e-invoices into accounting entries. According to the company, these functions are integrated into its broader accounting environment, which is positioned as an e invoicing system for businesses transitioning toward IRAS e invoice requirements.
AI Account noted that onboarding processes include migration support from existing accounting systems and structured implementation steps intended to align with SME operational requirements. The company also indicated that its system is available under a pricing structure designed for smaller enterprises.
“As InvoiceNow becomes the standard for business invoicing in Singapore, SMEs need more than just compliance. They need a solution that simplifies operations, reduces manual work, and remains affordable as they grow. That is exactly what AI Account was built to deliver,” said Tommy Teo, Co-Founder and Software Developer at AI Account.
The development comes as adoption of e invoice Singapore standards continues to expand, with increasing reference to Singapore e invoicing IRAS requirements among GST-registered businesses preparing for phased compliance deadlines. AI Account Pte. Ltd. operates as a cloud accounting software provider and is an OpenPeppol member supporting e-invoicing initiatives in Singapore and Malaysia. In this context, businesses can Start E-Invoicing through AI Account as part of their transition toward InvoiceNow-compatible digital invoicing processes.
