“Into the Flames”, a feature film written, directed, and produced by Michael Mandaville (line producer of the “Taken” trilogy with Liam Neesom) was screened at the Silicon Beach Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on September 14th, 2022. The film is a comedy about two robbers who seek refuge in a home of cannabis entrepreneurs while planning their escape. Forcing the hostages to take marihuana edibles, the now very under the influence group causes chaos and hilarity.

In just the last month, his Mandaville’s screenplay “Duchess Gilhooley of San Pedro” was accepted nominated to advance into the Portland Comedy Film Festival and h. His short comedy film “The Big Bucks” was selected for the Texas Short Film Festival. His Another one of Mandaville’s screenplays, a noir drama screenplay, “A Cold Knife in a Warm Back” was also selected for the Silicon Beach Film Festival and . This script “A Cold Knife in a Warm Back” was a Finalist in the Los Angeles Indie Film Festival, and was recently published on Amazon in novel form. Since he worked as the American line producer on all three “Taken” films, he is also reworking a script to star Liam Neeson.
Mandaville’s novel writing is reaching into the episodic Streaming world. As a novelist, Mandaville also finished the draft of his streaming series show “Maroc” in novel form – which means that the eight episodes have a strong structural foundation. He is going to MIPcom in Cannes for the series. “Maroc” continues his technothriller “Stealing Thunder” series with “Maroc” along with his Parisian crime series.
Next on the agenda for Mandaville is heading to the International Film and Television market MIPcom in Cannes in mid-October for significant discussions about his role as an Executive Producer on an international action TV Show as well as other financial and Streaming Television opportunities in the international arena. Working with experienced producer and distribution expert, Tai Truesdell, who worked with New Regency and numerous other companies, they are pursuing action series shooting in the international arena in a risk-managed strategy utilizing Truesdell’s knowledge of the market and Mandaville’s experience in writing and production.
Mandaville traveled last year to France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Morocco in researching and scouting for TV projects, with a special emphasis on Morocco for his TV project – tentatively titled “Maroc” which is an action TV Series. Working with an experienced line producer in Morocco, he scouted Casablanca, Essouaria, and more in Marrakech with its spectacular scenery and ambiance. He is a producer-director-writer, working on all three “Taken” films in the U.S. as the American line producer.
Working with his associate, Robert Lennon, in their marketing company, MagicMarketing.Agency, he is currently working with a major blockchain company to enter the U.S. market, especially focusing on the use of smart contracts and tokens for the media industry.
Recently acquiring his citizenship in Luxembourg, Mandaville which cements his direction in the European theater for formulating projects with a Eurocentric appeal, including France, Belgium and Hungary. Mandaville is an experienced and bondable line producer with membership in both the Directors Guild of America (DGA)Producers Guild of American (PGA) and the Producers Guild of American (PGA) Directors Guild of America (DGA). He has taught seminars on film budgeting and scheduling in his “Filmmaking With a Calculator” focus in today’s highly competitive media landscape at Stage 32, the American Film Market and other venues.
