This marks Ragan’s sixth year participating in the program, an exclusive forum designed to give MBA students direct access to C-suite executives through candid dialogue around leadership, entrepreneurship and strategic decision-making.
Ragan has built a long-standing relationship with SMU Cox, not only as an Executive Speaker Series participant, but also as keynote speaker for the MBA Women in Business “Be Bold & Tenacious” Conference, as a judge for the university’s annual startup pitch competitions, and as a mentor to students beyond graduation.
“I love spending time with the SMU COX students,” Ragan said. “They ask thoughtful questions about leadership, entrepreneurship and deal-making, and they’re genuinely hungry for access to executives who have lived through real challenges. SMU does an exceptional job connecting students to networks that accelerate their careers.”
Ragan emphasized SMU’s role in the broader Dallas business ecosystem, noting that the region is experiencing unmatched economic momentum. “There’s a reason Dallas is the top city in the country for economic and population growth. You can see it reflected in the caliber of students SMU attracts and in the business leaders they’re connected to through programs like the BLC,” she said.
Through the Business Leadership Center, Cox School of Business MBA students engage with top executives representing industries across finance, real estate, consumer brands, technology and professional services. Previous speakers include leaders from Bank of Texas, RBC Global Assets, Keurig Dr Pepper, Copart Direct, Girl Scouts, FTI Consulting and Wildcat Management.
