The Vilnius ceramic studio now lets shoppers build, color, and preview a personalized name on a wall before the handmade letters go into production.
VILNIUS, LITHUANIA - Letters of Clay, a Lithuanian studio producing handmade ceramic wall letters and numbers, has launched an interactive ceramic name builder. The online tool lets customers assemble a name, compare glaze combinations, and see the complete arrangement on a wall before placing an order.
How the ceramic name builder works
Using the Letters of Clay name builder, a customer can enter a name or word of up to 15 characters and select a glaze for every letter. One color can be applied across the full set, or the letters can be mixed from nine studio glazes, including light beige, pastel sky blue, and warm coral red.
The preview updates as the name changes. It shows the letters together on a photographed wall and adjusts their proportions as more characters are added. The order total, available bundle discount, and free-shipping threshold are also displayed during the process, allowing customers to review the full set before checkout.
The tool is intended to make two decisions easier. A color that works well on one letter may feel different when repeated across a full name, while a longer name can occupy more wall space than expected. Previously, customers had to assess both from individual product images. The builder puts the complete word and color combination in one view before the studio begins making the order.
Handmade production remains unchanged
The new tool changes the ordering process, not the way the ceramic pieces are produced. Every letter and number is still shaped by hand from white clay in the studio’s Vilnius workshop. Each piece is kiln-fired, glazed in the selected color, and fired again to set the finish.
The finished letters measure 12 cm, or about 4.7 inches, in height and 3 cm in depth. Small variations between pieces remain part of the handmade process.
Production takes approximately five to seven days, with additional time possible during peak holiday periods. Completed orders are gift-wrapped before shipping, and delivery time varies by destination.
Each letter is supplied with pre-drilled mounting holes, adhesive stickers for a no-drill option, and a full-size paper stencil. The stencil marks the intended position of the mounting points so customers can plan the spacing before attaching the letters to the wall.
The wall preview is illustrative rather than a scale drawing. Dimensions shown in the mockup differ from those of the physical product, so customers planning a longer name are advised to check the published 12 cm letter height against the available wall space.
Pricing and availability
The ceramic name builder is available now at lettersofclay.com. At launch, individual letters and numbers are priced at $46, with bundle discounts of up to 30 percent and free worldwide shipping on orders over $150 or €150. The builder shows current pricing and applicable discounts as a name is assembled.
Customers looking for a color outside the standard glazed range can choose the studio’s unglazed Bisque letters, which are supplied unfinished for painting at home or glazing at a local ceramic studio.
