These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. Who are Luka & Jenalyn:
Luka & Jenalyn have shown the world a whole new type of performance and storytelling while working with media empires such as Disney, Warner Bros, and NBC as lead performers and choreographers of many different TV shows, music videos, and live performances. This dynamic duo has captivated audiences with their unique and innovative take on cabaret, which combines contemporary dancing, cabaret, cirque, and theatrical arts. Just as musicians use music to transport listeners on emotional journeys, Luka and Jenalyn accomplish the same through dance. They make a beautiful pair when they come together, displaying the beauty of love that endures despite all of life's difficulties.
How they started:
Just over 10 years ago, Jenalyn's champion salsa and contemporary talents along with Luka's football, rugby, basketball, and ballroom training came together for the first time. They had their first dance tryout in 2013, and they never looked back. At the ages of 17 & 14 with only one year of cabaret dancing, this talented couple won the Dutch Open in 2014 and the Paris Worlds in 2015. In 2016, they decided to dance together professionally after being undefeated in the amatuer world of cabaret. Their professional carrer started out with a bang as they defeated experienced dancers at multiple competitions worldwide.
This success grew exponentially when they auditioned for NBC’s World of Dance. This TV show was executively produced by Jenifer Lopez where the goal of the show was to find the best dance act in the world. In the first season they made it on to episode 8 out of 10, and were asked to come back yet again before being featured on 4 more TV shows internationally. They continued to grow as they worked with media empires such as Disney, Warner Brothers, and Universal Music to create music and concept videos for various movie soundtracks, recording artists and album releases. Throughout their illustrious career, Luka and Jenalyn have been recognized internationally for their incredible dance talent. They have received awards, accolades and have been featured in publications.
This year the couple will be considered for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine and were selected as Top Performing Artists of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). They will also be honored at IAOTP's Annual Awards Gala in December 2023.
