Dr. Dexter Mattox, a dual degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeon, has joined the practice of Dr. Jeffrey O. Capes with offices in St. Simons Island and St. Marys, GA.

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - July 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Dr. Dexter Mattox has joined Dr. Jeff Capes' oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with offices in St. Simons Island and St Marys, GA.

"Dr. Mattox first shadowed in my office over ten years ago," Dr Capes said.  "He followed in my footsteps by attending UGA for college and then moving on to the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta for dental school.  He also followed my path by completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program and his M.D. degree at Case Western Reserve University.

"Dr. Mattox shares my commitment to patient-centered care," Dr. Capes said.  "He is a person of outstanding character and ability who will continue our tradition of excellence in clinical procedures and customer service."

Dr. Mattox has strong local roots, as he grew up in St. Simons. "I am truly honored to come back home and join my mentor's practice. I'm excited to start the next chapter in my career and continue to provide patient-oriented, compassionate care to our community."

Dr. Capes explained his practice philosophy that Dr. Mattox fully shares.  "It's not just about a procedure such as removing teeth or placing implants," Dr. Capes said.  "It's about taking care of people.  We change people's lives every day."

Dr. Capes explained that a referral is not required to make an appointment.  "While we receive many referrals from excellent dentists in the area, a dentist referral is not necessary to be seen in our practice."
