After a hard fight to get the right VA disability rating, Jordan Anderson has launched VA Claims Academy to help fellow veterans efficiently navigate the VA claims system

When Air Force veteran Jordan Anderson was filing a claim for his VA benefits, he hit a maddening “wall of bureaucracy.” After successfully breaching that wall, Anderson is sharing his hard-earned knowledge with fellow veterans through the online VA Claims Academy.
Veterans require a VA rating to get the compensation and support owed for their service-connected disability, but according to Anderson, about 8 out of 10 vets are underrated by the VA. And, as Anderson learned, trying to get the appropriate rating can feel close to impossible.
“I was deeply troubled by a system that made it so difficult for veterans to get the benefits that they earned,” said Anderson. After being denied a fitting rating, Anderson tried using an expensive assistance program that cost $15,000 but did nothing to improve his rating. Determined to crack the code, he set to work studying the VA claims system and eventually earned the 100% rating commensurate with his level of disability. He now shares the insider knowledge he gained from countless hours of learning to master the VA claims submission process.
“I interviewed veterans who had successfully navigated the system, scrutinized different submission strategies, and learned how to ‘speak VA’ so that I could not be ignored or denied,” said Anderson.
Anderson now guides fellow veterans through his VA Claims Academy platform, which offers online educational modules, personalized coaching, and a support community. Since launching the program, Anderson has helped scores of veterans — many of whom left the military 30 to 40 years ago — earn a 100% VA disability rating.
“The most painful thing is to be denied by the country you served,” said Anderson. “That’s why so many of these veterans give up and live with mounting costs from their service-connected disabilities. Or they reach out to prohibitively expensive law firms to file appeals that get stuck in the VA system for years. I’m showing veterans that there’s a faster, more efficient way to get their benefits.”
