Along the River Thames, the "Integrity and Breakthrough" Entrepreneurs Forum convened leading voices from the UK–China business, cultural, and technology communities to mark the official launch of the Global Entrepreneurs Reading Alliance
LONDON, ENGLAND, March 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jointly initiated by more than ten organizations—including Confucian International Media Co., Ltd., Times Publishing, the Xuemo Foundation, UK Chinese Business News, and China International Media & Publishing Group—the Alliance is designed to foster a global community of entrepreneurs anchored in deep reading, intellectual exchange, and civic responsibility. The event was hosted by Ms. Li Yuling, CEO of UK Chinese Business News.
Renowned author and cultural scholar Xuemo, the Alliance's principal initiator, delivered a keynote grounded in the strategic eastern philosophy of "Dao, Fa, Shu, and Shi." He argued that many enterprises overemphasize techniques ("Shu") and methods ("Fa") while overlooking the primacy of "Dao" (first principles) and "De" (virtue). "Dao defines strategic direction; De sustains execution," Xuemo noted. "Without Dao, enterprises lack roots; without De, even the most sophisticated strategies cannot endure." He emphasized that an entrepreneur's cognitive horizon ultimately sets the ceiling for enterprise growth, and that lifelong reading is the most reliable path to expanding that horizon and enabling intergenerational continuity.
Drawing on global field research, Xuemo challenged the notion that "wealth does not last beyond three generations," attributing such outcomes to a failure to transmit cognition and values rather than inevitability. His works, Five-Dimensional Enterprise Building and Tianyu Strategy, systematize pathways for organizational longevity and scaling from small firms to multinational groups, with documented applications in corporate turnarounds.
The Alliance's founding initiative outlines four priorities: advancing lifelong reading, building platforms for rigorous intellectual exchange, strengthening social responsibility, and promoting cross-cultural understanding. In an era of heightened uncertainty, it calls on entrepreneurs to evolve from economic actors into stewards of societal and civilizational progress.
In the roundtable session, Mr. Ren Guangfeng, Chairman of the UK Chinese Entrepreneurs Club, underscored the decisive role of self-awareness in long-term decision-making, advising founders to define capability boundaries rather than chase short-term trends. Representing a younger generation, entrepreneur Li Ruiying proposed a purpose-led model grounded in "non-harm" and informed altruism, reflecting a shift toward meaning-driven enterprise.
The launch of the Global Entrepreneurs Reading Alliance signals the rise of a new entrepreneurial paradigm—one that advances cognitive capability through disciplined reading and aligns business practice with a broader civilizational vision.
