GLASGOW, KY / ACCESS Newswire / July 14, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to honor Jennifer McNett for her distinguished contributions to tourism, hospitality, community development and entrepreneurship. This recognition reflects a career defined by persistence, innovation, collaboration and a deep commitment to strengthening the regional visitor economy in Southern Kentucky. Ms. McNett is a professional whose leadership continues to shape the region's tourism identity and economic future.

Ms. McNett serves as executive director of the Cave City Tourist and Convention Commission. In this position, she works closely with local attractions, business owners, community organizations and tourism partners to promote Cave City as a gateway community to Mammoth Cave National Park and a destination in its own right. Her responsibilities include identifying traveler needs, supporting local businesses, promoting area attractions, bringing groups into the conference center and encouraging visitors to extend their stays by exploring more of the region.

Her path into tourism began long before she became executive director. Ms. McNett first worked with the Cave City Tourist and Convention Commission as a part-time employee while finding her way through college. Over time, she took on increasing responsibility, eventually becoming assistant director before leaving in 2013. When she returned in 2018, she continued to advance within the organization, ultimately stepping into leadership and helping guide Cave City through a period of expanded visibility, award-winning projects and new opportunities.

In 2024, Ms. McNett and her collaborators received 23 awards through the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, including top recognition for innovation. Speaking with Marquis Who's Who, she added that the commission also received the Chamber of Commerce's Biggest Economic Impact Award that same year. These honors reflect her ability to turn creative concepts into measurable results while working alongside partners who share a commitment to regional growth.

Ms. McNett is an entrepreneur as well. She previously owned a party rental business and has owned and operated a seasonal fireworks business since 2010. She is also the owner of Haunted Oaks of Bon Ayr LLC, an attraction launched in 2024 that includes a walking trail through the woods and a haunted house. For Ms. McNett, Haunted Oaks of Bon Ayr is more than a seasonal attraction. It is a creative outlet and a legacy project she hopes will benefit her children and grandchildren for generations.

Her professional involvement extends across numerous tourism and civic organizations. She holds executive board positions with the Southern Kentucky Film Commission, Caveland Marketing Association, Caves, Lakes and Corvettes Region, and Cave Country Trails. She is also active with the Kentucky Travel Industry Association, Kentucky Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus and the local chamber of commerce, where she serves on multiple committees. Additionally, Ms. McNett has participated in the Citizens Police Academy program and hopes to continue to see it successful in gapping a bridge between citizens, visitors, and local law enforcement.

Her advice to others is to never give up and to understand that it is never too late to pursue education, leadership or a new professional direction. Ms. McNett was candid in her Marquis Who's Who interview, saying, "I work very hard to build the right team at my office and at each business that I have. That way, I don't have to do everything. I can rely on other people to assist me. That's the key. If you don't have a strong village, then you might as well forget it. I need my team to be strong in areas where I lack, so we can be our best."

"Jennifer McNett exemplifies the caliber of tourism and hospitality leader Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "Her work in destination development, film tourism, regional partnerships and entrepreneurship reflects a career defined by creativity, determination and measurable community impact."
