About the Author

Patrick Beason was raised in the oil fields, where his father served as an executive with Sinclair Oil Company. A Tulsa, Oklahoma native, he built a career in structural engineering and oil exploration, designing telescoping oil rig derricks before moving into management and launching his own oil and gas production company in Texas.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Patrick brings grit, realism, and a deep appreciation for survival to his storytelling. His lifelong interests—from auto racing to structural design—reflect a mind wired for adrenaline and precision. When not writing, he’s accompanied by his two loyal German Shepherds, who even appear as characters in his books. For Patrick, writing is simply “fun” — a way to explore the mysterious, the monstrous, and the moments that make us human.
