By launching new programs, Joey’s Food Fight is working to assist more children in the city of Chicago, as the ongoing cost-of-living crunch continues to impact many Americans. As a recent report from the United States Department of Agriculture explained, food insecurity now affects more households than ever, with 10.2% or 13.5 million households in America experiencing food insecurity at some stage last year.

Beginning with orphanages, Joey’s Food Fight has sought to reach the most vulnerable children in the Chicago community. What Joey Morelli believes sets his charity apart from other worthy food security organizations is that he is focused not just on the immediacy of sustenance but on helping children to gain the skills they will need to feed themselves well throughout their lifetime.

Joey Morelli appreciates that children who are raised in orphanages and other temporary care facilities, as well as those children who grow up in homes below the poverty line, are rarely taught essential culinary skills. That's why his programs focus on kitchen skills as well as food storage, safety and nutrition.

Joey’s Food Fight deeply appreciates the donors who support their work and join them on their mission, which is why Chef Morelli actively shares his journey on social media, including on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@joeysfoodfight

Joey Morelli, who is well known for his goofy sense of humor and big heart, believes that by personally imparting his knowledge and skills as a professional chef, he can also bring his passion and love for cooking to children in need.

Joey’s Food Fight believes food means safety, nourishment, community, and often love, which is what they hope to bring to all the kids they support. They welcome both individual donors and new partnerships with other NGOs and charity groups.

A spokesperson for the culinary and food charity said, “At Joey’s Food Fight, our mission is to empower and educate children through the power of cooking. We believe that by teaching them valuable culinary and life skills, we can help them become self-sufficient and confident individuals. Our approach is both educational and entertaining, making the learning process enjoyable for the kids we work with. As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we aspire to collaborate with like-minded organizations and individuals who share our passion for making a difference in the lives of children in need.”
