(Matthew Du, NewsUSA Reporter) -

Gift of Hope, headquartered in Itasca but with offices in Chicago and Springfield, is a not-for-profit organization that procures organ and tissue donations to donors and their families. It is one of the 56 qualified organ procurement organizations in the US and has been on duty since the 1980s.

In 2023, Gift of Hope honored retiring Executive Jack Lynch, who joined the organization in 1987. Lynch devoted his life to transplant awareness and donation, especially in the African-American Community.

The new building named after Lynch is a donation and outreach center, as well as a training ground for Chicago State University students
