Parksy (parksy.com) offers a free parked-car locator that works in the browser: one tap saves the spot, a compass arrow leads you back. No app, no signup, nothing uploaded. It joins a free marketplace of 108,000+ spaces worldwide.

SYDNEY - Aug. 29, 2026 - PRLog -- Parksy (parksy.com), the free parking marketplace, has a tool for the small humiliation every driver knows: standing in a multi-storey car park with no idea where the car is. Find My Parked Car works in the phone's browser with no app to download and no signup. One tap when you park saves the spot; when you come back, the page shows live distance, a compass arrow pointing at the car, and one-tap walking directions.

The privacy design is unusual for a location tool. The GPS position is stored privately in the driver's own browser and nothing is uploaded, so the record of where a car spends the day belongs to nobody but its owner. Drivers can add a photo or a note — Level 3, Bay 42 beats GPS inside a concrete garage — set a meter timer with an alarm to avoid overstaying, and share the saved spot with a partner arriving separately.

Founder Daniel Battaglia says the tool exists because the problem is universal and the existing answers all ask for something first. "Every solution to losing your car wants an install, an account or an ecosystem. Losing your car is not a subscription category. You tap once, you walk away, and an arrow brings you back. That should be the whole transaction, and now it is."

For drivers who want it automatic, the free Parksy app saves the spot by itself when the driver leaves the car and sends lock-screen meter alerts even with the app closed. The browser tool remains fully usable without it at https://www.parksy.com/find-my-parked-car.

The locator joins Parksy's wider set of free driver tools and its marketplace of more than 108,000 listed parking spaces across 57 countries, where finding, booking and listing parking are free and no commission is charged to anyone. The platform is at https://www.parksy.com/.

"We measure this tool in relief," Battaglia said. "Nobody plans to lose a car. But at some point everyone does, and that moment is a much better introduction to Parksy than any advert."
